A molamola (oceanic sunfish) hangs suspended for cleaning at Pura Ped, Nusa Penida, near Bali. The fish is the largest of the puffer family (molidae) and can reach weights over 2 tons. They come to the Bali and Nusas Lembongan-Penida area to be cleaned by bannerfish (Heniochus) and other cleaners and possibly mate. Mola expert marine biologist Tierney Thys is currently studying this tropical population and temperate populations worldwide. Tropical molas are known to Indonesia, Hawaii and the Galapagos Islands.
